Programme Highlights and Enrichment Activities
Science is a methodical approach to understanding the world, creating and organizing knowledge through testable explanations and predictions.
In our science labs, students not only conduct exciting experiments but also participate in Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL). This approach allows them to uncover concepts through exploration rather than traditional instruction. With the help of Personal Learning Devices (PLDs), this process becomes both efficient and engaging.
This year has been another outstanding one for our science students, as the Science department provided a wealth of enriching learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom, sparking curiosity and deepening their passion for discovery.
Science Learning Journeys
This year, our students have participated in a variety of enriching science programs designed to deepen their understanding of the natural world.
Through the ExxonMobil Biodiversity Conservation and Explorers Programme (BiCEP), students explored biodiversity at the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum.
They also gained hands-on experience in genetic engineering at the DNA Bacterial Transformation Workshop at the Science Centre Singapore.
For post-exam enrichment, students will visit Pulau Ubin to explore natural ecosystems and Edible Garden City to learn about urban farming and sustainability.
These programmes are part of the Science Department's commitment to providing students with real-world learning experiences that connect classroom knowledge with practical applications in conservation, biotechnology, and sustainability.

STEM Day
On our vibrant STEM Day, Secondary 2 students embarked on an exciting exploration of STEM in a variety of fascinating fields.
From the cutting-edge world of drones and stem cells to the hands-on thrill of ice cream making, students had the chance to dive into diverse areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
With each workshop designed to spark curiosity and ignite creativity, students gained a deeper understanding of how STEM is transforming industries and our everyday lives.
